KB000906 - Will GSatTrack function while in flight and in airplane mode?
GSatTrack is a website which means it requires an internet connection. Airplane mode disables data connections (turns off wifi), so while in flight and you wish to access your GSatTrack account, you can connect via the Airplane Wifi to obtain data.
