Iridium NEXT Constellation Tracking
Monday, January 16th, following the successful launch of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket that delivered 10 satellites to low-Earth orbit for Iridium’s NEXT constellation, Global Satellite Engineering (GSE) has integrated the live positional data of the NEXT constellation into its asset tracking solution: GSatTrack.

Utilizing a proprietary layering system, GSatTrack is capable of displaying all types of custom data overlaid onto the visual mapping system. The tracking portal can easily display everything from maritime data, weather reports, oil fields, clouds and even satellites! This data can be toggled on or off quickly to allow you to customize your mapping view. GSatTrack is available with a full set of layer data to choose from, but if you require additional data the platform allows you to upload custom layers for your own use. This type of data integration allows your company to create even more interaction and behavior analyses amongst it assets in the field. GSE has been tracking the current installation of Iridium satellites for years now and with the new Iridium NEXT satellites actively reporting their positions, GSatTrack has begun tracking their live positions as well. This data can now be viewed through GSatTrack’s layer system at the click of a button. In additional to the new layer, GSE has provided access to a GSatTrack companion tool that allows you to quickly view live tracking data for both Iridium satellite constellations. The Iridium NEXT constellation tracking map will continue to update as new satellites are launched into orbit.
